Mango shake
1 ripened mango
2 cups milk
1 cup ice cubes
2 tablespoons sugar (or as per taste)
1 teaspoon rose water (optional)
Cut the mango into pieces. Remove the pulp with a spoon and put it into a blender. Add ice cubes, sugar, milk, and rose water and blend. It is now ready to offer. This will soothe the body and remove fatigue. This is a very good preparation to pacify hunger. Serve cold. Banana or avocado shake can be made in the same way.
Flat rice recipe
1 cup flat rice (can be found at Indian store)
2 ripened tomatoes
2 Boiled and diced potatoes (optional)
1 tablespoon oil or butter
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 handful chopped cilantro (optional)
1 teaspoon of salt or as per taste
Place a half gallon of water in a pan and add the flat rice in the water and stir for about 10-20 seconds. Then immediately strain water. Place a wok on medium heat and add the oil. When oil gets hot add mustard seeds. When mustard seeds pop add chopped tomatoes, salt, and turmeric. Stir and cover for 2 minutes. Remove cover and stir again till the preparation thickens then add diced potatoes and the flat rice. Fold the preparation over itself in the wok until the preparation turns yellow. Add a tablespoon of sugar if desired for more taste. The preparation is ready to offer to the Lord and server thereafter.
