This Bhagavad Gita, expertly written by His Holiness Krsna Balaram Swami ends with the Supreme Lord, Sri Krsna Himself stating that devotional service to Him is the topmost spiritual process. All other spiritual processes are under it. The greatest devotional service is to distribute Krsna Consciousness to others. Sri Krsna Balaram Swami is doing that work for all who will listen, as a travelling preacher, and by writing books. Distributing such literatures is the greatest social and philonthrophic work, a blessing to mankind. As it is said by Sandilya muni in the Narada Pancara, “Studying Vaisnava scriptures removes a person’s sins, makes him meritorious, and purifies him. The scriptures bestow upon him happiness, peace, Vaisnava etiquette, and liberation.”
Krsna Balaram Swami was born in a Brahmana family and is expert in the scriptures. One who follows him will not be mislead. As Lord Siva instructs his wife Parvati, “O Devi, there are many Gurus who are experts and well versed in Vedic scriptures, but the Guru who is both well versed and realized in the science of the Supreme Absolute Truth is very rare. O Devi, there are many Gurus who accept disciples just to userp their wealth, but the Guru who removes the topmost miseries of his disciples is very rare.” (Kularnava Rahasya, 13)
It is a great gift to the world that Mahant Krsna Balaram Swami has mercifully given the world the insight of his Vrajavasi Purports. All sincere people now have the opportunity to know the real inner meanings of the personable relationship Lord Krsna has with His true devotees as seen through the eyes of the Lords closest associates, the Vrajavasi’s. The philosophy of the Vrajavasi Purports perfectly prove that the Lord’s incarnations are transcendental in every way. Every sincere soul must transcend this mundane world of death and perfect their life by becoming one of the glorious eternal devotees of the Lord.
Srimad Bhagavad Gita is the topmost scripture among all spiritual literatures. The Gita can only be understood through commentary by the realized souls. By studying contemplating and practicing the Gita all have been benefited. This Vrjavasi commentary by Krsna Balaram Swami is authentic, unchanged, and accepted for studying, teaching, mediating on and practicing for all men. In this commentary of the Gita, the inner meaning is properly revealed.
This is an outstanding translation of Srimad Bhagavatam by Mahant Krsna Balaram Swami. It correctly portrays Lord Sri Krsna as the Supreme Lord from whom all other incarnations emanate. Transcendental consciousness is very much needed today, it is our good fortune to have the profound knowledge of Mahant Krsna Balaram Swami bring forth its finer implications. Swamji’s commentary is a great gift for all.
Krishna Balaram Swami has undertaken Herculean task of translating the Srimad Bhagavatam which shall be contained in 40 volumes. The Srimad Bhagavatam has 18000 verses. Besides the translation, he is also giving his Scripturaly Substatiated Purports on the content of those verses. These would act an encyclopedia for anyone who would have the time or inclination to explore the vast Ocean of thoughts that Hinduism comprises.
