Skanda Purana it is stated, BHUTA-VIDDHA TU AMAVASYA NA GRAHYA
MUNI-PUNGAVAIH, all the sages and saints have stated that if Amavasya is
mixed with previous day (i.e. combined with chaturdasi) should not be accepted.
